German top-of-the-range carmaker BMW is on track for record sales in 2012 after buoyant November sales, chief financial officer Friedrich Eichiner said on December 07. "We're on target," Eichiner said at a sneak preview of new models in Munich, where he confirmed the automakers goals for 2012.

In November, BMW's world-wide sales rose by about 20 percent to more than 170,000 vehicles. In the 11 months to November, vehicle sales so far this year reached about 1.66 million, an increase of some 10 percent, Eichiner added.
